Originally written for Paul Taffanel and his C flute, this mellow and evocative Romance by Alfred Bruneau transfers well to the mellow tones of the alto flute.
Roz's notes: Louis-Charles-Bonaventure Alfred Bruneau was a cellist and composer of operas. He enjoyed a highly successful collaboration with the writer Emile Zola until their demonstration of support for Dreyfus during the famous trial effectively ended his career.
