Gaubert's lovely flute music arranged into an effective piece for flute choir with interesting parts for all players.
Philippe Gaubert [1879 - 1941] was one of the highly influential French flute players of the early 20th century. He was a pupil and colleague of Taffanel with whom he collaborated to produce the famous Methode de Flûte. He fought in WW1 at the battle of Verdun and in his later years turned to conducting instead of flute playing.
