Get the audience feet tapping at your concert with this Baroque music given a modern twist. Handel's notes with swung rhythms - it's fun and it's educational. Can be played by just 2 flutes or more:
Flute 1 - Handel's original flute part with swing and a very few changes to help set the mood.
Flute 2 - has a full accompaniment based on the original Basso part.
Flute 3 is an optional rhythm flute.
Flute 4 is an optional rhythm flute.
And what about adding a drum kit also ?!
Handel lived in the same house as Jimi Hendrix [not at the same time!] and his music has much in common with jazz - it has a lead sheet for improvisation with keyboard and bass. And the rhythm was often to be 'swung'.
Jazz Handel performed by Luca Dallavia, Nadine Gruenwald, Patricia Gfoeller, Sonja Gerstgasser (innsbruck, 2019)
